Join Learnit and experts Kandis Porter, MBA PMP, and Dr. Airies Davis, EdD, MBA  for a thoughtful conversation focused on the wellbeing and career advancement of women based on the impact of the global pandemic. Our experts will share strategies for addressing burnout and explore why and how organizations can take a solid look at their flexible work policies to examine ways to support their women employees.


About Our Speakers:

Dr. Airies Davis is an educator, author, talent-strategist, coach, and monthly columnist of ‘The Dr. Airies Report’ in the AWBC Media magazine- the voice of success and empowerment for African American women.

The practitioner-scholar threads diversity, equity, equality, inclusion, and belonging (DEEIB) throughout the fiber of her 10+ year experiences including leading large-scale strategic talent development initiatives and multicultural teams for such organizations as Deloitte, Merrill Lynch Capital, Chicago Public Schools, and Monster Worldwide. As a BetterUp Fellow Coach, she is renowned globally for designing Coaching Circlecurriculum, presenting BetterUp live events, and facilitating customized evidence-based coaching sessions for a myriad of diverse audiences.

Dr. Davis currently serves as an Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor for Dominican University, Brennan School of Business in River Forest (near Chicago), Illinois. She is the founder of WorkforcEQi, foremost emotional intelligence experts in addressing wellbeing issues and emotions in the workplace. Her passion project is the creation of EtiKID Academy providing character and career education etiquette to underserved and marginalized populations.

Kandis Porter, MBA MSPM PMP is the Founder and Managing Director of Effective Flow Connections (EFC), a management consulting company that helps transform organizations through project management, process improvement, change management, facilitation of key meetings, and training. Kandis also works one-on-one with clients, focusing on Leadership development and growth.  EFC enables organizations to do what they do, even better!  

Kandis Porter has more than 17 years of experience managing people and large projects in both the government and private sectors. She has supported clients in various industries, to include the Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration, utilities, medical device, non-profit, and learning & development.  Kandis has a Master of Science Degree in Project Management (MSPM) from The George Washington University and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources. In addition, she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Prosci Change Manager, and Six Sigma Green Belt. She is also certified as a Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner, Thomas-Kilmann Instrument (TKI) Practitioner, and is a Wiley DiSC Workplace assessment facilitator.    

Before joining the consulting industry, Kandis proudly spent more than seven years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force and is passionate about giving back to veterans and their families.  She is a member of the Small Business Administration’s Advisory Committee on Veteran Business Affairs (ACVBA) in Washington, DC and is active in the veteran community in Reno, Nevada. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her family.
