Docker has finally arrived for Windows!  With Windows Server 2016, Windows users finally have the ability to create containers natively.  Docker containers are a disruptive technology redefining concepts of virtualization, deployment, and service oriented architecture.  Docker is often described as a lightweight virtual machine (VM).  But it so much more and the impact is enormous!  Leave class with an understanding of how to install, configure, and use Windows containers.  Most importantly, leave class with the ability to harness one of the most important recent technology innovations.

Windows 2016 Server supports two flavors of containers. In this class, students will gain knowledge of both:  Windows Server Host and Hyper-V Containers.

The Docker ecosystem and technology stack will be explained, such as the Windows Container Host, Windows Server Core, and the Nano server.  Student will leave class with the ability to orchestrate Windows / Linux containers.

The class is super hands-on.  Within an hour, students are able to create Docker containers and running applications. Every topic is reinforced with immediate hands-on exercises and lab exercises.
