The instructor, Ron Reck, was especially knowledgeable on the subject as well as a good instructor. In addition, the classroom setup with the additional monitor showing the instructor’s screen was a nice touch. In prior classes I’ve attended elsewhere, the visual was done through some type of projector, and much less efficient and effective.

Overall, I found the staff to be professional and friendly and left my last day of the class feeling that the experience was very good. I was glad that I had chosen Learn iT! for my training needs. I successfully completed the Crystal Reports course I took from your organization in January 2005. Two of our employees in Accounting had previously taken this very same course. From their favorable comments, I also decided to take it.

Upon arrival, I was particularly impressed with the way the classroom was setup. There is a CRT monitor in-between each student that displays the instructor’s screen. This made it very easy for me to follow each step the instructor was taking. The common break areas are relaxing and wisely stocked with an ample supply of quality coffee and tea.

Most important, I was very impressed by your instructor, a Mr. Harlan Kilmon. He is by far, the most intelligent and effective instructor I have ever come across. He has in-depth knowledge of not only Crystal Reports, but also the related Microsoft desktop products like Access, Excel and PowerPoint. This is critical as he was able to easily explain how Crystal can interface with these other products.

Even if this course appeared to be well taught, the bottom line is still retention. That is, how much did I retain after I left Learn iT!? The instructor plays a significant role here. To me, the mark of a great instructor is one who can improve on this metric. I can safely state that I retained over 90% of what Harlan taught me. In my book, this makes him a great instructor.

How was this course from Learn iT! different from others that I have taken? From my experience, it was a combination of the Learn iT! environment and the instructor’s ability to teach effectively that places Learn iT! on the top of my list.

Your instructor Harlan Kilmon has innate skills when it comes to people. He connects with his students. He knows how to command their attention. He delivers his material in an engaging manner. He provoked my interest in every section of Crystal we covered. That’s not easy to do!
